!!! PLEASE PRAY WITH US RIGHT NOW !!!

A MAJOR HURRICANE is passing over the West of Cuba in the next 1-6 hours, and over our LIGHT School now in session.  Hurricane Rafael has rapidly  intensified in the warm Caribbean waters to 110 MPH and is now predicted to intensify further making landfall in Cuba as a major Category 3 hurricane.  I just hung up talking with Arleen on site and the bands of wind and rain have begun.

It seems our 24th Medical Missionary/Bible Worker LIGHT School has been under attack from the very planning stages.  Food and fuel shortages, transportation hardships made the idea of being able to house and feed 45 students near impossible.  Three days before the School started there was a complete national blackout of all power on the island and we were asked to cancel the school, being told no students would be able to find transportation.  A decision was made to go forward and miraculously 37 of the registered students made it to our WYG headquarters outside of Havana.  Now, our faculty and students face a direct hit from this dangerous hurricane and we’ve been asked again to cancel the school.  

Our calling and orders from on high were clear; ‘go and win Cuba for Christ thru training, equipping and supporting Cuban young people to go into completely “unreached” municipalities of Cuba first armed with the practical gospel to do good and relieve physical suffering among the most impoverished and disenfranchised, and secondly to share the gospel of God’s love to relieve the suffering of the soul. 

Amidst terrible fear of the storm in Cuba, our students and faculty elected to keep going forward.  Note the pictures below of all of them gathering together for an hour of “united prayer” at 6 AM, followed by the study of God’s Sanctuary led by Clara Diaz, and a Biblical based study with Arleen on “Coming and Final Events in Earth’s History”.   

As many of you know from the scriptures, we are on track for a direct hit of a coming storm much greater than Rafael, “such as never was since there was a nation”, and greater than any of the physical, economic, political, or social storms earth has yet experienced.  Many will wonder if anyone can be saved.  But, praise the Lord, God’s word says that He will be “our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble”, that He will be to us “a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in (our) midst”.  God says; “(My) people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book (Lamb's Book of Life)”.  (Dan 12:1, Psa 46:1).
