This past Thanksgiving, Adventist Christian Academy Raleigh (ACA Raleigh) and the Raleigh Seventh-day Adventist Church decided to team up to serve their community in making Thanksgiving meal boxes from donations made by both the school and church.
The generous donations easily filled over 20 boxes to the brim with shelf-stable goods such as stuffing, mashed potatoes, canned vegetables, soups, cake mixes, and many other side dishes.
A small group of members and school volunteers came together on November 15 to assemble the boxes and sort the food, then each box was hand-delivered to a member of the community at their home.
The outcome was a success, and God’s hand was felt by both the givers and the receivers. This ministry team was so well supported by the church and school that there are already plans to do more food box projects in 2021!
